Janet Seidel
Janet Seidel sings classic jazz standards and uses the finest of Australia’s jazz musicians in her band. A graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide, she is also a music educator.
Janet tours extensively with her jazz group throughout Australia and overseas. She has played all the major Australian Jazz and Arts Festivals.
Amidst the many tours and seasons played by her various groups, she also appears with the Sydney and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras and tours for Musica Viva.
George Grifsas Group
(jazz, blues, latin, lounge, Greek, world music)
George Grifsas is recognised as one of Adelaide’s hottest jazz talents.
Well known jazz authority Tony Bretherick likens George’s driving guitar style to the great Barney Kessell. “He’s quite brilliant” says Bretherick. “With a repertoire that bridges jazz and blues, you don’t need to be a jazz fanatic to appreciate his mastery of the instrument.”
George has performed with Michael Feinstein, David Hobson, Karl Riseley, Paul Kapsis, Tom Burlinson, Rhonda Burchmore, Daniel Boys, Mark Nadler, James Morrison, Don Burrows, Robyn Archer, the Everly Brothers, the late Ricky May, Kate Cebrano, Lea Saolnga, Camille O’Sullivan, Eden Espinosa, Debra Byrne, and with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra to name a few.
George has worked throughout Australia, Europe, UK, Russia, Asia and the Pacific playing jazz, pop, world music, theatre, festivals and clubs. He has numerous recordings to his credit.
George and his band are available for corporate and private functions.
Goose
(16 piece band – funk, soul band)

Originally formed in London in 1997 as an outlet for trombonist Dave Palmer’s songwriting, Goose was reborn as an Adelaide funk band when Dave returned to Australia in 1999. Here he was joined by local songwriters Paul White and Sam Moody who helped put together a 16 piece band of some of the city’s most talented and experienced jazz and funk musicians.
The thundering 8 piece rhythm section of bassist Damien Steele Scott, guitarists Nick Panousakis and Sam Moody, keyboardists Paul White and Shane Ellery, father and son percussionists Steve and Ben Todd and Drummer Andrew Bignell have been the backbone of many of Adelaide’s leading jazz and funk bands since 1990. Including, amongst others, the mid 90’s Cargo Club house band NRS, Suction Cap, Thrust, Dragster, Dr Buzz, The Hammond Eggs Trio and Lucifer’s Lounge.
Leading the vocals is outstanding soul vocalist Urszula White and Vocalist/Trombonist Dave Palmer.
Joining them to add the seven piece horn section are some of Adelaide and Melbourne’s most in demand horn players. Trumpeters Warren Heading and Gordon Lambie, Trombonist Nick Mulder and Sax players Damon Grant, Pete Raidel and Frank Althuizen.
J.J. Fields
(blues singer/guitarist solo or group)

Since 1989, J.J.Fields has been active in the national blues scene. Known for his guitar work with award winning bands, The Streamliners, Blind Dog Taylor and the Heat, and the Healers.
He has backed blues band legends such as Big Jay McNeely, Carrie Bell, and has supported Junior Wells, Renee Geyer, Paul Kelly, Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Fabulous Thunderbirds and many more.
As a solo artist J.J.Fields has opened up for legendary group Canned Heat in Europe and Hawaii and has recently returned from California after performing at various blues clubs such as BB King’s in Hollywood and on a major Californian blues show.
J.J. Fields is available to perform solo, or with his band The Healers. Either way, you will hear authentic Blues and Roots styles with an original feel and refreshing approach.
Persia Brokensha

BLUES ROYALE contains the music of Etta James, Aretha Franklin & Nina Simone, through to less-famous but equally influential Bessie Jackson, Koko Taylor, Dinah Washington, Mahalia Jackson, Ernestine Andersen & Jill Scott. Some gospel roots, a lot of late night jazz & old fashioned blues all with plenty of swing.

The Three Amigos is a versatile act, roving or staged. They offer choices of costumes, songs for themed events, professional and vibrant, this energetic act have travelled nationally and internationally. They perform festivals for corporate clients and events such as Honda and Vodaphone, weddings and private shows.
Bottleneck Jazz Group
Bottleneck is a dynamic new quartet made up of some of Adelaide’s finest musicians, playing all original music that is melodic, bluesy and groove inspired.
Their debut album ‘Diversions’ was independentlyreleased in November 2011 and has been featured on ABC Jazz Track, Classic Drive and Jazz Notes,and received a 5 star review from UKJazz Radio and a 31/2 star review from LimeLight Magazine.
Bottleneck was formed by Adelaide double bassist David Phillips. David, a full time double bassist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, brought together three long time friends and colleagues in the Adelaide jazz scene to create an album of original contemporary jazz compositions.
The band iscomprised of saxophone, piano, double bass and drums and the musicians featured bring a wealthof professional experience having worked with such international artists as Branford Marsalis, JamesMorrison, Rick Ford, Don Raider, Jon Gordon, Cindy Blackman and James Muller, and have performed inNew York, Canada, China, South Korea and Papua New Guinea.
Marlene Richards
(jazz vocalist – jazz)

A professional singer since the 1960s, Marlene Richards is a highly respected vocalist and her career has taken her all over Australia.
In the jazz field, Marlene is held in high regard and has performed for the Jazz Action Society, the Adelaide Jazz Festival, the Mildura jazz Festival, the Middlebrook Winery Jazz Jamboree, the Adelaide Festival City Fezbar, Adelaide Festival Theatre and the Adelaide Festival of Arts.
Marlene regularly returns to Sydney to perform at the Basement and Harbour Side Brasserie with the Evan Lhoning Jazz Orchestra. Marlene’s career in the music industry has included studio session work and she has to her credit award winning ads for VY Eyes and Australian Motors.
She is also in demand for major coporate and civic events and performed at the prestigious “Dinner with the Prime Minister” held at the Adelaide Hilton International.
Marlene’s regular band members include some of Adelaide’s finest musicians; Dave McEvoy on piano, James Sked or Tim Bowen on double bass, Ben Riley on drums, Fred Payne trumpet, and Bob Jeffery on saxophone.
Lainie Jamieson
(jazz/pop vocalist – jazz/pop)

One of Adelaide’s leading singers from Jazz to Pop, Lainie Jamieson is an accomplished and talented musician with a wealth of experience as a solo, duo and group artist.
Lainie is an in-demand performer, with a long list of professional appearances throughout her career, including many corporate event and functions around Australia.
