A professional singer since the 1960s, Marlene Richards is a highly respected vocalist and her career has taken her all over Australia.
In the jazz field, Marlene is held in high regard and has performed for the Jazz Action Society, the Adelaide Jazz Festival, the Mildura jazz Festival, the Middlebrook Winery Jazz Jamboree, the Adelaide Festival City Fezbar, Adelaide Festival Theatre and the Adelaide Festival of Arts.
Marlene regularly returns to Sydney to perform at the Basement and Harbour Side Brasserie with the Evan Lhoning Jazz Orchestra. Marlene's career in the music industry has included studio session work and she has to her credit award winning ads for VY Eyes and Australian Motors.
She is also in demand for major coporate and civic events and performed at the prestigious "Dinner with the Prime Minister" held at the Adelaide Hilton International.
Marlene's regular band members include some of Adelaide's finest musicians; Dave McEvoy on piano, James Sked or Tim Bowen on double bass, Ben Riley on drums, Fred Payne trumpet, and Bob Jeffery on saxophone.
